Recipe for Love- Karleigh Sue DT Post

Hi folks. Just stopping by to share a Valentines card I have made today using the new cute Recipe for Love digi by Karleigh Sue. Isn't she adorable? The full length digi is available to purchase in the Etsy Shoppe but she is also available in these cute little card formats in sets of three via the Facebook page.

I kept this card fairly simple, colouring the image with Promarkers and matting and layering on coordinating card stock with papers from Dovecraft. Yesterday I bought some sweet little heart buttons from Hobbycraft and so used one here with bakers twine to embellish the card.

Tomorrow a new challenge launches over on the  Karleigh Sue challenge blog so do pop by and join in- as always there will be a great prize on offer.

Have a great weekend!

'Georgie' by Lacy Sunshine

Today I'd like to share this quick card I made for a challenge over on the Lacey Sunshine Facebook Page. The digi was kindly offered up as a freebie for 48hrs, and I couldn't resist snagging it to have a play.Such a cute image that is perfect for birthdays and new baby cards.

My  9yr old daughter Emma is still very much into all things cute and furry and was insistent that Georgie should be a girl giraffe, so I gave her a pretty pink and lilac umbrella, and mat and layered her on papers of the same colour. I added faux stitching around her to frame, and kept the design of the card clean and simple with just a ribbon, sentiment on a die cit and a couple of tiny gems to complete it. I love the Lacy Sunshine Stitched Collection- they are so adorable and if you are interested can be found in the store here.

You Make It Look Easy- Karleigh Sue DT Post

Evening crafty peeps! Hope your Saturday is going well and you are enjoying some lovely time relaxing in a way that makes you happy. Personally I have had a wonderful day that's involved swimming and baking chocolate cake with my daughter and having a little crafty time too. A perfect weekend recipe!

Like most mummies there never seems to be time me to stop, and so this card was made with all us busy mums in mind. The digi You Make It Look Easy depicts so many ladies I know, who do an amazing job juggling family life. You can find her in the Karliegh Sue shop here (if you like what you see in the shoppe and want to follow on Facebook for updates, competitions and news of new challenges on the challenge blog click this link for all you need to know).

I'm on a mission this year to use more of what I have, and so I started with my scrap paper box and mounted her on various bits of paper hiding in there, and embellished with a die cut swirl, flowers, a tassel, lace and gems from my stash.

Now I had better dash- it seems the icing of the chocolate cake isn't quite going to my independent 9yr olds plan so this super mum needs to race to the rescue!

Lets Get Groovy Baby!

It won't be long until Valentines Day is upon us and today's card was made with that in mind. This fabulously funky digi with sentiment is one of a brand new set of three by Karleigh Sue. She is so much fun that I decided to step out of the comfort zone and have my first go at colouring pink hair. As always my promarkers didn't let me down and I have to say, I am really pleased with how she turned out.

I didn't have any really vibrant papers in my stash, so I created my own with Dylusion inks, a mask, and Black Soot distress ink. A few gems and a cute little love charm (that I got from a second hand bracelet I bought today in a bundle and just couldn't resist taking apart to recyle from it!) finished it off in a simple but fun way.

If you want to get your hands on this great digi yourself head on over to the Karlegh Sue Facebook page here where you can find details of how to purchase. You can also find a full length digi, minus the sentiment in the shoppe here.

I'll be back tomorrow to share another Karleigh Sue make using the same image so do pop back if you can.

Have a great weekend!

Pixie Dust by Karleigh Sue

Wow- 2015 has crept up on me fast! I don't know where the last year went. I have been so busy lately, and I guess that's what has made the time fly. I'm not one for making new years resolutions, but I guess if I had to make one, it would be to make more time for myself and my crafting. How about you?
I've started as I mean to go on by getting this cute card made up today. I have used Karleigh Sue's Pixie Dust digi. She's adorable for all seasons - especially if, like me, you have a young daughter with lots of girl friends who all love a bit of magic and sparkle!

I coloured her in promarkers, and added stickles to her upper wings. I teamed her up with some Lily of the Valley papers which I embellished with star rub ons and paper flowers, and added a die cut sentiment and some gorgeous shiny purple ribbon ( raided from the packaging of one of my eldest daughters Christmas gifts!)

Thanks for stopping by. Happy new year to you all!
