Just Be Happy

I've had such a lovely creative weekend making cards and doing some scrap book pages and I just wanted to pop on and share my favourite card from the weekend.

I've been sorting through my stash and I have so many papers that I have created backgrounds on and stored away, so I am on a mission to use some up as my paper boxes are getting out of hand!

This one was created using the shaving foam technique, and dylusions. I just love the vibrant swirly pattern. This is such a fun way to play, and it called out for a lively image to accompany it, and I had just the one. I used the entire stamp set called Tomorrow Doesn't Exist by Visible Image, heat embossing the girl and main sentiment for some extra shine. I also used stamps from Universal with glitter Wow embossing powder to add more dimension to my background. I am so pleased with how it turned out.

Just Hit Play

Stopping by today to share a card I have made using some of my favourite stamps by Visible Image. As a child of the 70's/80's I just love this cassette recorder from the Just Hit Play set. Perfect for music lovers of a certain generation like me. Oh the hours I would spend on a Sunday night, poised over my radio listening to the Top 40 and desperately trying to catch my favourite tunes with that record button, and oh how frustrating it was when the DJ started talking over the top of the music! I'm sure I'm not alone in that one!

I also used stamps from Visible Image's Universal and Sing sets. They all compliment each other so well. The background was created with Dylusion sprays.

New Home Card With Lavinia Stamps

Today I'm popping by to share a new home card that I have made for my niece and her family to celebrate a very long awaited, and somewhat stressful move. House buying and selling is never simple as they have found out, but finally they are settling into their dream home and I couldn't be happier for them.

I adore fairies, and I know my great niece is also a fairy fan, so a selection of my stamps from Lavinia Stamps seemed perfect for the job. The background was created using distress inks, and the images are coloured with Zig Clean Color markers.

Hydrangea- Julia Spiri New Release

Yippee it's time for another new release from Julia Spiri and wow is she a stunner! Simply named 'Hydrangea' after the pretty flowers that surround her, you can find her here. I loved colouring her up ( with copics) and created a simple layout using backing card from Hunkydory, a ribbon and bow from Papermania Capsule Collection, and a vintage butterfly embellishment.

The rest of my teamies have also been playing with her and have made some stunning cards so pop across to the challenge blog and prepare to be inspired! Perhaps you could join in the latest challenge too while you are there. You can also follow Julia and her art, and share your own projects with her images on her Facebook group
