Julia Spiri New Release- Fairy with Gift

Those that know me will know that I am an absolute sucker for all things mythical, with one of my main loves being fairies ( which only come second to my ultimate favourite- dragons!!) . So as you can imagine I leapt at the opportunity to colour up this gorgeous brand new release, Fairy with Gift  by Julia Spiri. She is just adorable!! You can find her here.

I coloured her with promarkers and added some distress stickles to her wings for some extra sparkle. The purple floral paper is from a pad I purchased in Lidl recently, and the green floral paper is from a First Edition paper pad. I hand stamped the sentiment and added a few embellishments to finish off.

Don't forget, you can keep up to date with all the Julia Spiri news and share your love of her cute characters on the Facebook page. There is also the Challenge Blog if you enjoy joining in challenges. We'd love to see you playing along.

Happy crafting!

Not Just Cards September Challenge- Anything Goes

It's time for another Anything Goes challenge over at Not Just Cards so do join in if you can!

This month our sponsor is Aliciabel

I chose to work with  the very cute Surfing digi. My kids are keen body boarders to it was the perfect image to accompany a scrapbook page of them larking around on their favourite beach with their cousins on holiday. I coloured her with promarkers. I created the backing paper myself using white card stock, a swirl mask and distress ink, and layered my photos on a crisp blue mat, which I complimented with a sentiment and embellishments.

We'd love to see your entries, whatever your project may be so do play along if you can.

Happy crafting!

Naughty Children- Julia Spiri Challenge DT post

I am SO excited to announce I have been selected to join the DT for Julia Spiri's Challenge blog. I saw Julia's amazing art on Facebook and fell in love with it instantly so was thrilled to be asked to join the DT! The challenge blog is brand new so we would love it if you popped over to show your support and join in.

The first challenge has the theme 'Use Something New', so why not pop to her Etsy shop and choose yourself a new digi to play with?

I have used Naughty Children for my first project. As a childminder in my day job their cheeky characters just jumped right out at me and it seemed appropriate to be my first choice. I used a combination of Copics and Promarkers to colour them, and mat and layered them on some blue cardstocks with co ordinating papers. My 'something new' is the sentiment, which I created using my brand new Craft Artist software on my pc.

Julia has a Facebook group too. We would love to see you there!

Happy crafting!
