Meet the Visible Image Cool Kids!!

Today I am sharing a really fun card for kids that I have created with the brand new February release from Visible Image. I just love Molly, Max and Jake. What a cool bunch of kids they are.  I wanted to combine them all to tell a little story. Jake is clearly out to impress Molly with his daring skateboarding tricks, while Jake looks on capturing the event on his phone. I think these three could be real mischeif makers don't you?

I started by spraying Distress Oxide onto Kraft card through the fabulous Distressed Brick stencil.

I wanted Jake to be busting through the wall, so with a craft knife I carefully cut the card.

I cut the pieces away and curled back the edges to create an aperture.

Then I stamped some graffiti on the wall and coloured.

I used Polychromo pencils to colour my characters and used the handy co ordinating dies to cut them out. I also cut the new Broken Mesh layering die, and popped that behind the hole for added interest before mat and layering my card.

You can't tell by the photograph, but for an added touch of fun I adhered Jake onto a wobbler so he actually moves.

This card was so much fun to create. These stamps are just perfect for the youngsters in our lives and I can see them getting a lot of use here.

Helen and Mark ( aka Mr and Mrs Visible Image) have had a very exciting week as have showcased their amazing stamps and stencils on Crafters TV. The shows were a sell out unsurprisingly, but the shows are still available to watch on catch up for inspiration, and of course you can still purchase from Visible Image direct and their wonderful stockists so never fear!

Sketched Tulips Flower Pot

The sun has made an appearance this week and there is a definite hint of Spring in the air here. Todays inspiration for Visible Image is a pretty plant pot using the new release Sketched Tulips. It would certainly brighten up any garden or patio.

I started by applying a coat of gesso over my pot.

I then used a blue spray paint over the entire surface.

I masked the pot, leaving about an inch at the bottom and used green spray paint to create grass before stamping my images with Archival ink.

I finished by using  acrylic paint to colour my flowers, and a white Posca pen to add highlights.

So pretty! If using outside I would recommend applying a coat of varnish to prolong its life.

This stamp set and all the others in the wonderful new release are available to pre order from the Visible Image website now. Do check out all the social media links below  and follow for some fabulous inspiration and to keep up to date with all the latest news.
