Joint Christening Card

I was asked recently if I could make a card for a joint christening for a friend who is attending the christening of a young boy and his baby sister. A bit of a challenge covering both sexes and different aged children, but the adorable digis at Mo's Digital Pencil gave me exactly what I needed and I managed to come up with a card I was happy with. I just adore Mo's digis. So full of character!

Camping- Saturated Canary

Good morning folks! How are we all on this sunny Sunday? Having seen my Facebook news feed fill up with photo's of many of my friends on camping trips I am wishing I was relaxing  out in the middle of nowhere under canvas myself, but alas there is no time for that, so instead I am sharing a card I made with camping in mind!

I have used the gorgeous Camping digi by Saturated Canary. I just love her! I created a fairly simple card, using some sticker embellishments from my stash. Perfect for any young girl who loves the outdoors don't you think?

Rapunzel Braid Fairytale- MoonFlower DT post

Time for me to share another gorgeous digi in the fairytale collection by MoonFlower. This time I have used Rapunzel. Check out that hair!! So lovely to colour. As always I have used promarkers. I created the brick effect with a combination of marker and distress ink, and layered her simply on some pretty paper from my stash.

There is a new challenge running over on the Facebook page with the theme of fairytales, so why not take a look in the digi shop, treat yourself and play along. We'd love to see your creations.

Checking the List- Karleigh Sue DT post

Just popping by to share a little inspiration piece I have made using 'Checking the List' by Karleigh Sue for this months 'Christmas in July' challenge over on the blog.

I have altered a cheap list notebook in an attempt to get me more organised for the festive season this year. I coloured the cheeky little chap with promarkers, fussy cut him and mounted on red card, along with some peel offs to decorate. Simple yet rather effective!

There is still plenty of time to play along in the challenge this month so if you are Christmas crafting why not share your entries and enter. Oh, and don't forget to join the the Facebook Fan Page too so you can keep up to date with all things Karleigh Sue and share your projects there with our little community.

Colourful Wedding Day Card- Visable Image 'Wedding Day'

Yesterday my sister Fiona finally said 'I do' to her fella Simon in a beautiful ceremony, which was followed by a very colourful reception in the garden of their beautiful home. I wanted to create them a card that reflected the 'bright colours' theme of their day, and make it modern and fun- just like them!

I used Visable Image's Wedding Day stamp set and created a rainbow effect using distress inks. I cut the coloured card in two, and stamped the rose in black on one side, and embossed the other with a hearts embossing folder. I used gilding wax to highlight the raised areas. The sentiment was stamped on plain card and mounted on black, as was the coloured card. I framed the whole thing with silver to add a little wedding sparkle around the edge.

I wish them both many happy years together as husband and wife. They really are a perfect match so I am sure they will have an amazing life together.

Cinderella Photo Book- MoonFlower DT post

It's time for me to share another of my DT creations for MoonFlower and this time I have stepped away from my usual cards and created something a little bit different.  Andreia is currently busy working on her new fairytale range of digis, (which are amazing by the way so check them out in the shop if you like a little fantasy to craft with) , and I have used Cinderella Fairytale, along with an MDF carriage album made by Twiddleybitz. They work together perfectly- don't you agree?

The majority of papers used are from Dovecraft's Bohemian paper pad. I just adore the richness of them. The MDF itself was primed, painted in a cream acrylic paint and then covered with Viva Precious Metal Colour in lilac. It gives it a real sparkle!

I hope you've enjoyed stopping by my blog. We'd love to see your Moonflower makes too so why not join the Facebook fan group and join in the fun there.

Happy crafting

Baby Shower Cake- Karleigh Sue

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. I certainly did. A lovely friend of mine is due to have a baby girl very soon and so this weekend a group of us girls went to a posh local hotel to spoil her a little bit with a nice afternoon filled with tea, cakes and gossip. Of course I couldn't let such an occasion go without creating a card! I used Baby Shower Cake by Karleigh Sue, coloured in pretty pinks with promarkers. I layered with some Papermania papers, and embellished with some pretty bits from my stash. I'm pleased to say she loved it!

Christmas in July- Karleigh Sue DT Post

I am normally such a last minute crafter when it comes to Christmas but it's always good to get organised early, so this months challenge theme at Karleigh Sue has kick started my festive creativity and helped me attempt to do just that!

The new Karleigh Sue range of Santas eleves are soooo adorable. Check out this link!  I have used Santa's Cookies ( find him in the digi shoppe). I can't wait to make him some friends with the other lines available too! They will make a great themed collection.

I haven't been Christmas craft shopping yet, so the embellishments were left over from last year and hiding in my stash, with the exception of the gorgeous little candy cane dots. Cheri ( the talented creator of all things Karleigh Sue) made them herself and I loved them so much I asked her to send some across the ocean to me. I absolutely adore them!

You can keep up to date with all things Karleigh Sue over at our Facebook Fan Page. We would love you to join us for the fun we have.

I hope I have inspired you to get Christmas crafting. If love Christmas or loathe it the reality is that it will be here before we know it!!

Have fun!
