Jake Skates NEW Visible Image Release

I am so delighted to be sharing my first project with some of the brand new release for February from Visible Image. There are some incredible stamps, stencils and layering dies and they are available for pre order from today so do check out the website and social media pages (links below).

So, first up from me is the very cool dude, Jake Skates. I just love colouring in cute characters so this set ( and his two buddies- no reveal here on my blog yet though so go check them out!) made me grin from ear to ear when I first saw them. In fact they still do!

To create my card I started with a Distress Oxide background . I then inked through the new Graffti stencil ( SO cool!)

I then used Versafine ink to stamp some of the accent stamps to add another layer of detail.

Then it was time for another new stencil, Distressed Brick. I lay it over my background and with a spatula added Izink Ice.

Before the ice dried I sprinkled on a variety of embossing powders then heated until it dried and bubbled.

Just look at that yummy texture!

I added torn pieces of the new Broken Mesh die cut to add even more texture.

While everything dried thoroughly I stamped and die cut Jake and his accessories ( yes, he has coordinating dies too!) and coloured with Copics.

I just love him!

Do check out all the Visible Image links as the design team have been having so much fun and the samples are simply stunning!

Pre orders are open now and the release date is the 11th February so not long to wait.

99% Chance of Wine

Happy New Year everybody. I hope you enjoyed your celebrations however you chose to spend them. I had a nice break and am now ready and raring to get crafting and sharing some design team inspiration using awesome stamps and stencils from Visible Image.

My first post of the year showcases the recent release set 99% Chance of Wine. As a wine drinker myself I just love it! I think it's perfect for celebration cards of many different occasions.

I started this card with a gelli print background. To create this I simply sprinkled some Brusho powders on my circular plate, spritzed with water, and lay the card down. I really like the blotchy effect it achieved. It really looks like beads of spilled drink.

I then stamped the glass twice. Once on card. and once on acetate, and I added the splash stamp and embossed with distress glaze.

My original plan was to mount the acetate over the white version, but I changed my mind about my lay out and wanted to keep it totally clear, so instead I stamped it direct to the base print, and adhered over that with glossy accents, enabling us to see through it to the back drop.

I also stamped the wine and embossed direct to the card.

I then added a layer of interest stamping the remaining stamps from the set randomly before adhering the acetate glass over the stamped image of it.

I created the wine bottle by again using acetate, and adhering over a coloured version I stamped the label on a scrap of patterned paper and adhered that to the front.

To finish I used a fine liner to draw around the circle print and added the sentiment.

2022 promises to be a very exciting year for Visible Image so do keep an eye out on their social media for updates. You won't want to miss whats coming I promise you!
