Dark Angel - Visible Image DT Post

October is here as as we all know it's the time for ghosts, ghouls, and all things creepy. Today I am sharing a piece I created with Halloween in mind , using the wonderful Guardian Angel and Mr Bone Jangles.

To start I took a piece of mixed media card stock and created a background using distress oxide sprays and distress ink through the Stop Meshing Around stencil and added some stamping to it using the elements stamp from the Guardian Angel set.

I stamped the angel, and heat embossed the wings, and also stamped the skeletons.

I re stamped the angel on card, coloured and fussy cut.

I drew nooses around the heads and coloured them in with white paint before adding acrylic ink across the top and allowing it to drip down like blood.

To finish I fillied in the wing area in white and adhered the coloured angel then inked around the edge to frame the image.

This was so much fun to make. I thoroughly enjoyed embracing my dark side *mwahahaha*

Have a great Halloween if you celebrate.

Searching for Santa - Visible Image

Love it or hate it, there's no denying the fact that Christmas is on the horizon now. The shops are beginning to sneak their festive goodies on the shelves, and us crafters are beginning to get organised for the season, and that includes me. I have been busy using the stunning Christmas stamps from Visible Image to create some cards.

I don't know about you, but even though my kids are grown up and no longer believers, I still believe in the magic of Santa and find myself staring to the skies wishing for a glimpse of the big man's sleigh. So today's project was created with that in mind.

I began with a piece of cardstock with a blue wash over it.

I used a mask and gesso to create a moon and stamped the trees from the Christmas Eve set in Versafine Clair ink to create my scene, using 2nd and 3rd generation stamping to build depth.

I stamped and highlighted the sleigh, and  created a snowy effect using the elements stamps from the set and a splatter or two of white paint.  The sentiment is from the Sentimental Christmas set.

If you love working with Visible Image stamps do come and share your makes over on the Facebook Group . We'd love to see them.
