Ahead of Our Time Visible Image Fathers Day Card

Fathers Day is just around the corner here in the UK and with that in mind my inspiration piece this week uses one of my favourite stamp sets, Ahead of Our Time, and the new Father Definition sentiment stamp from the recent summer release. The sentiment stamps are so useful for all occasions, and I do love the definitions on them. They really make me smile.

This card was super quick to make, so only one process photo I'm afraid,  and it uses a gelli print that I have had in my stash for a while. This was created with acrylic, and fluid acrylic paint and the Visible Image Ripples stencil. The copper fluid acrylic gives it a real sheen which is difficult to pick up on camera.

To create my card I first stamped the fabulous spiral clock in brown Archival ink.  I then stamped the man in black Versafine Clair over the top. Fortunately I used a stamping platform, as after the first inking I realised I had something stuck on my stamp that caused a few marks. I am such a messy crafter!! But as I had the stamp in place on the platform there was no issue fixing it. Once happy with that I heat embossed him.

I stamped the Father Definition on white card, and cut out the descriptions so that I could lay them vertically on the card. Edging each one in  black made it pop. I used a Kraft card as my base as the brown really complimented the design.
